Sreelekha Susarla, M.D., is board-certified in internal medicine. She has lived in Tucson for nearly two decades and is passionate about practicing internal medicine because of its complexity. She views her role as a puzzle solver who is honored to be able to solve new puzzles with each patient she sees. She believes her job goes beyond diagnosing and treating the problem - that coordinating the care of each patient is a challenging, yet critical skill, that an internist must possess. Dr. Susarla was born and raised in India where she attended Rangaraya Medical college in Andhra Pradesh. She came to the United States for a residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona/Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program for three years followed by a year of chief residency. She worked at TMC and St. Joseph’s hospital for about two years. She was then a hospitalist in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility for another year before becoming a full-time hospitalist at TMC in 2004. She joined TMCOne in 2015.
